Some weddings feel like they belong in a storybook. Jonathan and Lisette’s wedding at The Cruz Building in Miami was exactly that, elegant, romantic, and straight out of a dream. From the grand staircases to the flickering gas lanterns, every detail added to the magic.
For their wedding photography, they wanted a mix of timeless, candid, and artistic shots. The goal? To capture the love, the details, and all the unforgettable moments without feeling staged. And that’s exactly what we did.
The Cruz Building - A Venue Like No Other
When it comes to jaw-dropping wedding venues in Miami, The Cruz Building is in a league of its own. Located in the heart of Coconut Grove, this three-story gem is packed with European charm, soaring ceilings, marble staircases, and grand balconies everywhere you look.
For wedding photography, it’s a dream. Every corner is filled with rich textures, warm lighting, and dramatic backdrops. Whether it’s the terrace at sunset or the antique chandeliers glowing at night, the entire place is made for stunning wedding photos.
The Wedding Day
The day started in the luxury private bridal chamber, where Lisette got ready with her bridesmaids. The energy was high, and everyone was soaking in the moment. She looked breathtaking in her classic white dress, with delicate lace details and a flowing train. Jonathan, meanwhile, rocked a burgundy suit with a bow tie, a bold and stylish choice that suited him perfectly.
Their first look took place on the outdoor terrace. As Jonathan turned around, his reaction said it all, pure love and admiration. It was a moment filled with emotion, and honestly, one of our favorite parts of the day to capture.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held in The Royal Mezzanine, right next to the Grand Staircase. The atmosphere was intimate yet grand. As Lisette walked in, all eyes were on her. Jonathan couldn’t stop smiling.
They exchanged vows beneath the magnificent stained-glass windows, with every word echoing through the historic walls. It was heartfelt, emotional, and absolutely beautiful.
The Reception
After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate! Guests enjoyed a gourmet feast with a mix of plated dishes and fun late-night snacks and a dj got everyone on their feet, with a mix of old-school classics and modern hits. There were a joyful cake-cutting, and plenty of emotional family moments captured. The energy was incredible, and no one wanted the night to end.
Couple’s Photoshoot
Before the night was over, we stole a few moments for a romantic couple’s photoshoot. We explored The Terrace, the Terraza de Leon, and the grand staircases, making the most of the venue’s stunning backdrops. The soft, warm lighting and historic architecture created pure magic.
